Job Description:
  • Lead and execute the Groups business development and portfolio expansion strategy.
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue opportunities to expand the portfolio through partnerships, operations, management contracts, joint ventures, or acquisitions.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of potential school partners, operators, and education-related businesses.
  • Engage with school owners, boards, and operators to explore collaboration, operation, or acquisition opportunities.
  • Structure and negotiate partnership models including management agreements, franchising, licensing, revenue-sharing, or minority investments.
  • Lead opportunity sourcing and preliminary commercial and strategic evaluations.
  • Coordinate financial, operational, academic, and regulatory due diligence for potential acquisitions or partnerships.
  • Work closely with Finance, Legal, and external advisors on deal structuring, negotiation, and execution.
  • Support post-acquisition and post-partnership integration in collaboration with portfolio and central teams.
  • Identify and develop new revenue streams across the education value chain.
  • Partner with portfolio entities to commercialize shared services, intellectual property, academic programs, and platforms.
  • Assess scalability, profitability, and risk of new business models and growth initiatives.
  • Monitor education market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics.
  • Prepare investment proposals, business cases, and growth recommendations for executive management and the Board.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to the Group CEO and Executive Committee on growth and expansion opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with regulators, investors, developers, and key education sector stakeholders.
  • Ensure alignment of growth initiatives with the Groups strategic objectives and financial targets.
  • Manage confidential information and sensitive negotiations with discretion.
  • Build, lead, and develop the business development team as the function scales.

  • Bachelors degree in business administration, Finance, Economics.
  • MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
  • 10–15 years of experience in business development, strategy, aquisitions, private equity, or education sector leadership.
  • Proven track record in portfolio expansion, partnerships, school operations, or acquisitions.
  • Strong understanding of education sector economics, school operating models, and regulatory environments.
  • Experience working within a holding company, group structure, or multi-entity environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in deal sourcing, negotiation, and execution.
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and business case development skills.
  • Excellent commercial, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
